Baptisms
We welcome many families bringing their children for baptism at St Nicholas and see this as an important occasion celebrating the new life of a child and committing their future into Gods hands.
As part of preparation for the baptism parents are expected to meet with Rev’d Diane to discuss the service and its significance for those being baptised.
Weddings / Banns
St Nicholas is the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding within the peaceful and historic Church set in a conservation area with the barn available for a small drinks reception.
Getting married is a very special life event and we are committed to helping you make the best of your wedding day. The marriage service should be a highlight of your day and we will work with you to ensure that it is a personal, meaningful and spiritual occasion.
We also welcome couples who would like a blessing following a civil marriage or to celebrate a thanksgiving for marriage and renewal of vows on a particular anniversary.
If you need to arrange to have your banns of marriage called at St Nicholas then please contact Rev’d Diane Cooksey on 01905 611268.
Funerals
We’ll always be here to help you through one of life’s most difficult times.
A Church of England funeral is available to everyone and can be held in Church or in a Crematorium. We are committed to planning a service with you that is meaningful, honours the life of, and where possible expresses the wishes of the deceased.
Please note that funeral services are normally booked through Funeral Directors.
